The Garner Civic Academy offers community members a behind-the-scenes look at how municipal government works, providing a comprehensive overview of Town operations, services and leadership. The program includes eight sessions held on Thursday evenings from 6–9pm, April 2 through May 21, 2026. Participants are expected to attend all sessions.

The program is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. Participants will be selected using criteria designed to create a diverse and comprehensive group of participants. Priority will be given to applicants who live within the Town of Garner corporate limits or ETJ.
