STAY-AT-HOME ORDER is in effect, and Garner Town Hall is closed to the public until further notice. However, Development Services (Planning, Inspections, Engineering) is accepting drop-off submittals and correspondence in the Town Hall main entrance vestibule during business hours. Residents currently have only online and phone options for utility and tax bill payments. Field inspections will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. And the schedule for the unprepared trash and yard waste pickup has been modified. Stay well, stay home.

GFCompPlanComprehensive plans are intended to provide a long-range vision for land development and redevelopment opportunities, community infrastructure decisions, and community image. The Garner Forward Comprehensive Plan follows on the previous efforts of the 2006 Town of Garner Comprehensive Growth Plan as well as the preceding Centennial Long Range Plan - 2005, adopted in 1996. It is a comprehensive parcel-based vision for future land use that is rooted in the nodal theory of urban development as the primary land use model for guiding future growth, but customized to fit the particular spatial challenges that are unique to the Town of Garner.

Any comprehensive plan is best understood in the context of the whole document; however, the Garner Forward Comprehensive Plan was structured so that portions could be excerpted (as done below) for easier use and understanding of specific topics and recommendations.
