What to Bring:
Come play for the day at the Town of Garner splash pad! Please arrive prepared with a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. Proper swim attire is required for all participants. Individuals who are not toilet-trained must wear swim diapers (regular diapers are not permitted). For added comfort and safety, water shoes are recommended, as the splash pad surface may be rough.

What NOT to Bring:
Personal sunshades and/or tents not permitted. 

Expect a Crowd:
This new feature at White Deer Park is free to use and open to all ages and abilities! Expect a crowd

Special Notice: Town of Garner’s Summer Camp will utilize the splash pad during the following times. While access remains open to the public, increased attendance is expected during these dates and times:

• Wednesday, June 24, 12:30–4:00 PM
• Wednesday, July 8, 12:30–4:00 PM
• Wednesday, July 22, 12:30–4:00 PM
• Wednesday, August 5, 12:30–4:00 PM

The Splash Pad is a free, drop-in amenity and is not available for reservation. Sweetgum Shelter is designated as free public seating for all Splash Pad visitors and is not available for reservation. Groups of 10 or more, private events, and gatherings are encouraged to reserve Homestead Shelter or Maple Shelter for gathering space. Shelter reservations do not include exclusive use of the Splash Pad.

White Deer Park Nature Center Reservation

Shirt, shoes and dry appropriate attire is required before entering the Nature Center.  Nature Center classroom & learning deck renters should plan to use the splashpad after their rental is complete. Nature Center classroom & learning deck reservation does not grant exclusive splash pad use.

Parking:
The parking lot closest to the splash pad is accessed by making the first right turn after you enter White Deer Park. Follow the road as it will lead to the splash pad parking lot. Parking is limited so plan accordingly.

• All children must be supervised by an adult.
• If there are any signs of thunder, lightning, or oncoming severe weather, please exit the splash pad and take cover.
• Proper swim attire is required. Swim diapers are required for non-toilet-trained people. The use of water shoes is recommended.
• Any person with an illness, infectious or communicable disease, open wound, or diarrhea cannot use the splash pad.
• No running, roughhousing, sitting, hanging or climbing on features, or amplified music.

The following items are not permitted in the splash pad area: 

• Food and beverages, glass containers, alcohol
• Soap, shampoo, or detergent
• Smoking, vaping, or the use of any tobacco product, controlled substances or drugs
• Outside equipment such as chairs, water toys, balloons, tents, etc.
• Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, scooters, or wheeled toys 

• Please park strollers outside of the perimeter of the splash pad.
• Pets are not allowed in the splash pad area. Outside the splash pad area, pets must be kept on leash or other restraint, pursuant to Town Ordinance Section 3-15.
• Personal grills are not permitted at White Deer Park.
• Weapons are not permitted at White Deer Park pursuant to Town Ordinance Section 18-2.
• Town is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
• Any person violating these rules or staff instruction may be required to leave the splash pad area or the park.

• Splash pad use will be suspended during thunder, lightning, or unsafe weather conditions
• The splash pad may close at any time due to maintenance or operational needs

The Town of Garner is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. If an item is misplaced, it may be located in the Lost & Found bin near changing room.
