Trick-or-treat your way around the trail at White Deer Park, come dressed in your best costume, and don’t forget your candy bucket! Local businesses and organizations will be passing out treats, a creepy crawlies exhibit will be featured in the Nature Center, and food trucks will be on site for purchase. Parents must accompany children at all times. Pets are not permitted. This is a free family-friendly event, please no horror or gore.

Calling All Food Vendors!

We're looking for food vendors to join us for Trick or Treat the Trails, one of Garner's favorite fall traditions!

Bring your delicious eats, sweet treats, and festive flavors to an evening filled with costumes, family fun, and Halloween excitement. This community event attracts hundreds of attendees, making it a great opportunity to showcase your menu and connect with local residents.

Heads up, Vendors!

We've been made aware of scams targeting event vendors on social media and via email. Scammers may pose as event coordinators to collect fees or personal information. Please keep the following in mind:

We will never recruit vendors through social media comments or direct messages

If you receive suspicious invoices or messages, please contact us via email at spaustian@garnernc.gov to verify their legitimacy.

Calling All Community Organizations!

Be part of the Halloween fun at Trick or Treat the Trails!

We're inviting local businesses, nonprofits, civic groups, churches, schools, and community organizations to host a community booth at this year's event. This is a great opportunity to connect with families, share information about your organization, and hand out candy to hundreds of trick-or-treaters!

Decorate your booth, wear your favorite costumes, and help create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for our community.

Parking & Accessibility

Parking:

Free event parking will be available at Lake Benson Park (921 Buffaloe Rd.).

Accessibility:

Handicap accessible parking will be available at Lake Benson Park close to the crosswalk to White Deer Park. Parking surface is grass. The trail for trick-or-treating is all paved surface and approximately a one-mile loop. Some areas on the trail may be narrow and/or bumpy.

ADA portable toilets are located at both pedestrian entrances at the front of White Deer Park and regular toilets with handicap stalls are located at the Nature Center and at the restroom building by the playground.
