Garner Independence Day Celebration

Lake Benson Park | 5 pm
Join us for an evening of fun for the whole family featuring a performance by the North Carolina Symphony.
Your children will love our Kids Adventure Zone featuring inflatables, games and crafts. Bring a picnic, or enjoy delicious concessions provided by food trucks and local non-profit organizations. Top off your evening with the best fireworks show in the Triangle, and you'll see why our citizens are so proud of their hometown.
Fireworks immediately follow the NC Symphony performance (approximately 9:30 pm)
- 5:00 pm - Park opens. Kids Zone & Food Vendors open, Veterans Memorial tours begin.
- 5:30 pm - The Chairmen of the Board
- 7:30 pm - Veterans Memorial tours end.
- 8:00 pm - Mayor's Presentation
- 8:30 pm - NC Symphony performance, Kids Zone closes.
Shuttle service for the July 3 celebration is free and will begin at 5:00 pm. Shuttle parking will be available at South Garner High School. Shuttles will operate continuously from the high school to Lake Benson Park until 9:15 pm. Return services from Lake Benson Park to the high school will resume at the conclusion of the fireworks and operate until all guest have exited the park.
Picnics, cooler and beach umbrellas are welcome!
However, in order to maintain a safe and secure environment, the following are prohibited at Town-sponsored events:
- alcoholic beverages
- glass containers
In addition, umbrellas must be lowered for the NC Symphony performance and fireworks.
For the purpose of public safety, the Town of Garner does not allow guest to bring pets to any Town-sponsored special events. Exceptions apply for trained service animals. Please note that the Lake Benson Dog Park will be closed on July 3.
