Once posted, all applications can be found on RecDesk (Garner.RecDesk.com) under “Special Events”

• If you haven’t already, create a RecDesk profile. If you already have a profile, sign in
• Click on the event you’d like to apply for
• Answer all of the necessary questions and sign all required documents
• Reminder: there is no fee to apply, so nothing will be due at the time of application. Fees will only be charged once you are accepted into the event
• Emails will be sent out notifying acceptance/rejection after the application deadline

We consider a lot of different factors when selecting food vendors for each event.

• Variety of food offered
• Intended age group for food served
• Suitability of food choices for the event/season
• Pricing

We also look at whether you have served food at our last couple events. The Town strives to maintain both great partnerships with previous food vendors while also considering new opportunities and ensuring a fair opportunity for everyone. If you are not chosen for one of our events, we encourage you to keep applying!

• Certificate of liability insurance naming the “Town of Garner” (900 7th Ave, Garner, NC 27529) as additionally insured, with a combined single limit not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence
• Proof of mobile permit/license from the Wake County Health Dept. or NC Dept. of Agriculture (if applicable)
• Vendor fee: refundable only if event is canceled by the Town of Garner Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Resources Department
• Payments can be made at Garner.RecDesk.com (RecDesk). You will get an invoice sent to the email you used for registration; sign in to your RecDesk account to make the payment

• Vendor applications and all items proposed for sale must be approved by Garner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources. No more than two vendors will be allowed to sell the same item. Only items listed on the application will be permitted to be sold during the event.
• All Wake County Health Dept./NC Dept. of Agriculture rules and Town ordinances must be followed.
• Groups will be responsible for their own sanitary and food handling supplies
• Power must be provided by the vendor; if power is available, that will be communicated at the time of confirmation. Generators and other internal combustion power sources shall be separated from tents and membrane structures by a minimum of 20 feet.
• Tents and membrane structures shall be adequately roped, braced, and anchored to withstand the elements of weather and prevent against collapsing. Tents may be inspected on the day of the event by the fire inspector.
• All vendors must provide at least one fire extinguisher in good working order, rated at least 2A:10B:C
• Smoking shall not be permitted within tents or membrane structures
• Cooking devices producing open flame or other devices emitting flame, sparks, grease laden vapors, heat; or any other devices using flammable or combustible liquids, gas, charcoal or other cooking device or any other unapproved devices shall not be permitted inside or located within 20 feet of the tent or membrane structure
• Items may only be sold from the booth; vendors will not be allowed to circulate through the crowd to sell. Vendors are also prohibited from aggressive sales techniques including but not limited to flashing lights, audio or “barking” as participants pass the booths, or standing on top of booths, vehicles or platforms
• It is the responsibility of the primary contact listed on the Vendor Application to orient their staff, volunteers, and subcontractors to these rules
• Violations of the rules listed herein may jeopardize the group’s ability to vend at future Town of Garner events
