Renting GPAC

Thank you for your interest in renting the Garner Performing Arts Center for your event.

Fill out the online form with as much detail as you can. Please make sure to describe any technical needs.
We sell concessions at most public events – please advise if selling concessions is not compatible with your event.
Absolutely no outside food is allowed for sale in the building.
If your event is ticketed, you must provide door staff to check in patrons.
Priority is given first to our resident companies, then to Town of Garner residents and business, then non-profit organizations.
Filling out the form is not a guarantee that your date is available. A GPAC staff member will email you to confirm your date is available. Reservations are not guaranteed until your deposit is paid.

All applications for rental dates must be made via this webform, we cannot accommodate phone calls or personal emails, thank you for your understanding.

Rental Rates

Rental rates are calculated on a hourly rate for total use of facility.
All rentals have a minimum of 4 hours.
A refundable deposit is charged for all rentals. The deposit will be refunded in 10 business days after the event provided the facility was not damaged during the event and rental time was not exceeded.

*The attendance number stated on the rental request and approved by the GPAC staff, should be the maximum number of people anticipated during the event. Violations of the attendance number may result in the loss of fees and/or deposits and could affect future ability to utilize the facility.

Policies

Alcohol

Complete Alcohol Use Permit

An alcohol use permit for the GPAC must be completed by requesting user to serve or sell beer, wine or champagne. The alcohol permit fee is $100, and is non-refundable. Town of Garner Alcohol Use Policy

Require a North Carolina ABC "Limited Special Occasion Permit"

Facility user will be required to obtain a Limited Special Occasion Permit from the North Carolina Alcohol Beverage Control Commission and must abide by all requirements of that permit. A copy of this permit must be provided to the auditorium manager a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the proposed event.

Require Insurance Rider

User must provide proof of alcohol liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000, listing the Town of Garner as an additional insured. Proof of alcohol liability insurance must be submitted to the auditorium manager a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the event.

Require Garner Police Officer

User must secure the services of an off-duty Garner Police Officer at a ratio of one (1) officer per 250 people, minimum of 2 hours per officer.

How far in advance can I make a rental reservation?

Reservations are made up to 6 months in advance. Priority is given to Town of Garner events and Town of Garner residents.

What are the rates?

Rental rates are based on hourly use and vary depending on each event's needs. Please see our rate sheet. There is a minimum four hour rental, in addition, all equipment must be operated by GPAC provided technical staff at their hourly rate.

Can I see the rental space before I book it?

We enjoy sharing all the great things we have to offer! The Performing Arts Center Supervisor is available by appointment to tour the facility. Email: gpacrentals@garnernc.gov

What is the maximum number of people your facility can accommodate?

The Garner Performing Arts Center can seat up to 471 audience members.

Do you provide tables and chairs?

Yes. We have an assortment of folding tables and folding chairs that are available for your use at no extra charge. Table cloths are not provided.

Is parking available?

Yes. There is ample free parking. Since the Garner Performing Arts Center is part of a senior apartment community, reserved parking spaces closest to the main entrance are marked "Resident Only" and designated for tenants with permits only. All vehicles without a parking permit are subject to be towed at the owners expense. Facility attendants are required to be on duty to assist the general public with finding available parking spots.

Does the GPAC provide staff?

All events require at least 1 technician and 2 facility attendants. Additional staff may be necessary depending on the event and expected attendance. The GPAC reserves the right to require additional staff when necessary. Staff are billed at an hourly rate in addition to the facility rental rate.
