Artist: Teedgra Carter

On View: June 1st - June 22nd

About the Artist: My name is Teedgra Carter, and I am an artist and educator. I have loved art since I was 9 years old, and I have been an art teacher for 21 years. Through my artwork, I explore personal experiences, memories, and the connections that shape our lives. I use art to tell stories, express emotions, and encourage reflection. My goal is to create work that inspires viewers to connect with their own experiences and discover meaning through creativity.

Thank you for considering the Garner Performing Arts Center for your art show.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Garner Performing Arts Center (GPAC) Gallery is to promote local and regional artists by providing exhibit space that is free and easily accessible to the public.

EXHIBIT CONTENT CRITERIA: The GPAC will consider exhibitions including:

·         Educational, cultural and of broad public interest

·         Available during GPAC Gallery timetable.  Exhibits rotate every 6 weeks.

·         Able to fit physically into the GPAC Gallery space

·         Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works are permissible

RIGHT TO REFUSE: The GPAC reserves the right to refuse, or to not allow any display of art whose content, in its judgment, does not meet generally accepted community standards of “good taste.” Due to the high volume of young children touring the exhibits, nude subjects will not be displayed. Please use discretion when selecting your pieces for the gallery.

LOSS OR DAMAGE: The GPAC is not responsible for loss of or damage to art presented in the exhibition.  Artists are solely responsible for their work and should insure their work if they desire.

ART AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE: It is not required that the art be available to purchase.  The GPAC is not involved with sales, and in the event someone decides to make a purchase, the purchaser will be asked to contact the artist directly.  Therefore, business cards or information including your name and contact information should be available in the lobby of the GPAC.
