STAY-AT-HOME ORDER is in effect, and Garner Town Hall is closed to the public until further notice. However, Development Services (Planning, Inspections, Engineering) is accepting drop-off submittals and correspondence in the Town Hall main entrance vestibule during business hours. Residents currently have only online and phone options for utility and tax bill payments. Field inspections will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. And the schedule for the unprepared trash and yard waste pickup has been modified. Stay well, stay home.

The Town of Garner plans to move forward with intersection improvements at White Oak, Ackerman and Hebron Church roads. The project design was approximately 65 percent complete as of late summer 2019. It features construction of a partial dual-lane roundabout to provide additional capacity in this growing area and to improve the current intersection configuration of three major street corridors.

It is expected that a contract for the project will be awarded in summer 2021 with contract completion late 2021.

There was a public meeting in September 2019 to provide citizens a final opportunity to review the design plans and their associated impact on adjacent property owners. Here is the meeting slide presentation, which provides an overview of the project.
