Show/Hide

STAY-AT-HOME ORDER is in effect, and Garner Town Hall is closed to the public until further notice. However, Development Services (Planning, Inspections, Engineering) is accepting drop-off submittals and correspondence in the Town Hall main entrance vestibule during business hours. Residents currently have only online and phone options for utility and tax bill payments. Field inspections will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. And the schedule for the unprepared trash and yard waste pickup has been modified. Stay well, stay home.

A More Playful Town

Voters authorized the Town to issue up to $7.15 million in Parks and Recreational Bonds. The bonds are to be used for these general purposes:

  • Improving and expanding the existing park, greenway and recreational facilities
  • Acquiring and constructing new park, greenway and recreational facilities
  • Improving Garner Performing Arts Center and the acquisition of any related land, rights of way and equipment

These bonds have funded numerous completed projects: the North Garner Dog Park (in Garner Recreational Park on Garner Road), Lake Benson Dog Park (in Lake Benson Park), dugout covers and new concessions buildings at South Garner and Garner Recreational parks, fencing around soccer fields at South Garner Park, a new picnic shelter at Garner Recreational Park and a state-of-the-art mobile stage for special events.
