Development Services Gain New Team Members
A couple of Town of Garner Development Services departments have some new team members.
Leah Harrison joined the Engineering Department as an assistant town engineer on June 17. She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State University at Fullerton. Prior to joining the Town of Garner, Harrison served with the City of Fayetteville for nearly four years, most recently as an engineering specialist II. Previous related experience includes working with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation as a civil engineer and contract manager.
Karen Davis joined the Engineering Department as a senior administrative support specialist on May 6. She earned a bachelor’s degree in travel, tourism and commercial recreation from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Davis most recently served as director of administrative services with the Moore County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Harrison and Davis join an Engineering Department headed by Chris Johnson, who joined the Town in January.
Meanwhile, Laura Gray joined the Inspections Department as a building codes inspector II on May 13. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Wingate University. Gray most recently served as a multi-trades inspector with the Town of Clayton.
