 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Garner Town Council will hold public hearings to review the cases below on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 6 p.m. All public hearings are held in the Ronnie S. Williams Council Chambers of the Garner Town Hall, located at 900 7th Ave. Garner, NC 27529.

Annexations:

Voluntary Contiguous Annexation Petition #ANX-26-002, Gregory Poole Equipment (Project Cougar) (MAP HERE

Voluntary Contiguous Annexation Petition submitted by Rick Baker to bring 127.981 +/- acres, plus an additional 12.98 +/- acres in public right-of-way into the corporate limits of the Town of Garner. The property is generally located at 5100 Raynor Road and may be otherwise identified as Wake County PIN 1730-14-8232.

    Temporary Moratorium:

Public hearing to consider a temporary development moratorium on Data Centers, Data Processing Facilities, Cryptocurrency Mining Operations, and similar undefined uses: 

In anticipation of the future development of Data Centers, Data Processing Facilities, Cryptocurrency Mining Operations and similar undefined uses within the Town of Garner’s zoning jurisdiction, the Town is considering a temporary development moratorium for such uses to begin on May 19, 2026, and end on May 18, 2027, or upon approval of Unified Development Ordinance amendments defining and regulating such uses, whichever occurs first.
