The state has lifted its burn ban for Wake County, and the county also has ended its burn restrictions. However, it remains unlawful to burn or cause to be burned any outside or open fire within Garner Town limits—except fires used for outdoor cooking or recreation—without first obtaining a written permit from the chief of the Garner Fire-Rescue Department.
