Roadway work starting Wednesday, March 11, along Yeargan Park on East Garner Road between Jones Sausage and New Rand Roads will include a lane closure on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an estimated two weeks.

The Yeargan Park bond project includes frontage improvements along an approximately quarter-mile stretch. These improvements involve road widening to accommodate a dedicated left-turn lane and right-turn lane. The improvements also include adding curb and gutter, a 10-foot-wide multiuse path and streetlights.

The park is a signature 2021 bond program project and is expected to be completed by late 2026. The project features four multiuse athletic fields, a large picnic shelter and an inclusive playspace.
