News release from the N.C. Department of Transportation: 

Contractors for Norfolk Southern Railway plan to perform railroad work on Vandora Springs Road near West Garner Road.

The closure will be in place Monday, Oct. 13, beginning at 9 a.m. and finishing at 4 p.m., weather permitting.

For a detour, Garner Road traffic will use Yeargan Road, then U.S. 70 East back to Vandora Springs Road.

Drivers should be mindful of posted signs and use extra caution in this work zone.
