Construction on the White Oak roundabout now is underway. This major Town bond project is located at the confluence of White Oak Road, Hebron Church Road and Ackerman Road. The scope of work includes construction of a partial dual-lane roundabout, street and storm drainage improvements, raised concrete splitter islands, private utility relocation/coordination, pavement markings and traffic signage.  

To construct the roundabout, road closures will be in effect starting June 16. The east end of Ackerman Road and north end of Hebron Church Road will be closed for approximately three to four months. (White Oak Road will remain open.) Dates are subject to change due to weather delays and other unforeseen conditions.  

While the road closures are in place, motorists can use numerous possible detour routes, which are listed below. 

North/West Detours: 

• Head west on Ackerman Road > North on Bryan Road > White Oak Road 
• Head west on Ackerman Road > South on Bryan Road > West on Clifford Road > West on New Bethel Church Road > North on Benson Road > East on Timber Drive > White Oak Road 
• Head south on Hebron Church Road > West on New Bethel Church Road > North on Benson Road > East on Timber Drive > White Oak Road 
• Head south on Hebron Church Road > West on Clifford Road > North on Bryan Road > White Oak Road  
• Head south on Hebron Church Road > West on Clifford Road > West on New Bethel Church Road > North on Benson Road > East on Timber Drive > White Oak Road 

South/East Detours: 

• Head south on White Oak Road > West on Bryan Road > East on Ackerman Road 
• Head west on Timber Drive > South on Benson Road > East on New Bethel Church Road > East on Clifford Road > North on Bryan Road > East on Ackerman Road 
• Head south on White Oak Road > West on Bryan Road > East on Clifford Road > North on Hebron Church Road 
• Head west on Timber Drive > South on Benson Road > East on New Bethel Church Road > North on Hebron Church Road  
• Head west on Timber Drive > South on Benson Road > East on New Bethel Church Road > East on Clifford Road > North on Hebron Church Road
