Town officials continue to monitor and prepare for Tropical Storm Debby and its potential impact on the Town. Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of staff and the public, Town officials have decided to close all Town facilities on Thursday, Aug. 8, due to the storm system and the heavy rains with possible flash flooding expected during the Thursday morning commute. The Town will open its Emergency Operations Center starting Thursday morning to monitor and respond to any storm-related issues.
Town parks will be closed on both Thursday and Friday so that Public Works crews have time assess any weather-related damage and be certain that park properties are safe when reopened to the public.
All-Star Waste anticipates remaining on its regular waste-collection schedule.
The Town will provide updates about any closures, postponements or schedule changes for Friday on Thursday.
