STAY-AT-HOME ORDER is in effect, and Garner Town Hall is closed to the public until further notice. However, Development Services (Planning, Inspections, Engineering) is accepting drop-off submittals and correspondence in the Town Hall main entrance vestibule during business hours. Residents currently have only online and phone options for utility and tax bill payments. Field inspections will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. And the schedule for the unprepared trash and yard waste pickup has been modified. Stay well, stay home.

Governor's Executive Order Prohibits Mass Gatherings

This notice is intended to inform the public that Gov. Roy Cooper’s Executive Order No. 117, issued March 14, prohibits mass gatherings of more than 100 people at the same time in a single room or single space, such as an auditorium, large conference room, meeting hall, theater or any other confined indoor or outdoor space. This includes fairs and festivals. 

The order’s prohibition of mass gatherings does not pertain to medical facilities, libraries, shopping malls and centers, office environments, factories, restaurants, grocery stores or other retail establishments.

Pursuant to NC General Statute 166A-19.30(a)(2), the executive order’s section on mass gatherings shall be enforced by state and local law enforcement officers. Violations of the executive order’s provision on mass gatherings, issued pursuant to NC General Statute 166A-19.30, may be subject to prosecution pursuant to NC General Statute 166A-19.30(d) and is punishable as a Class 2 misdemeanor in accordance with NC General Statute 14-288.20A.

Orden Ejecutiva del Gobernador prohíbe las Reunionés Masivas de más de 100 Personas

Este aviso tiene la intención de informarle sobre la orden ejecutiva del Gobernador Roy Cooper No. 117, emitido el 14 de marzo, que prohíbe reunionés masivas de más de 100 personas al mismo tiempo en una sola habitación o espacio individual, como un auditorio, sala de conferencias, sala de reunionés, teatro o cualquier otro espacio cerrado interior o exterior. Esto incluye ferias y festivales. 

La prohibición de ordines de reunionés masivas no se refiere a instalaciones médicas, bibliotecas, centros comerciales y plazas, entornos de oficina, fabricas, restaurantes, supermercados o otros establecimientos minoristas. 

De conformidad con el estatuto general de Carolina del Norte 166A-19.30(a)(2), la sección de la orden ejecutiva sobre reunionés masivas será aplicada por los agentes de la ley estatales y locales. Violaciones de la disposición de la orden ejecutiva sobre reunionés masivas, emitido de conformidad con la estatua general de Carolina del Norte 166A-19.30, puede estar sujeto a enjuiciamiento de conformidad con la estatua genera de Carolina de Norte 166A-19.30(d) y es punible como una clase de delito menor de conformidad con la estatua general de Carolina del Norte 14-288.20A.
