Southern Shade of Blue: Carrie Marshall

Carrie Marshall and friends come to the Garner stage sharing classic southern blues. Carrie brings her strong voice and a host of players that will make you want to sing along. Southern Shade of Blue brings audiences on a rich journey through the songs from the 60’s and 70’s that celebrate the south and have shaped generations—from jazz standards and country ballads to bluesy folk and soul-drenched Americana. Carrie Marshall’s original songs, known for their lyrical warmth and emotional depth, tie the show together with reflections on love, place, and belonging. Her velvety vocals and expressive piano work create a one-of-a-kind experience that’s at once intimate, nostalgic, and deeply moving. Hear songs by Dolly Parton, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Patsy Cline, The Rooftop Singers, Jim Croce and more!

Community events held in Town of Garner parks that extend beyond a standard shelter reservation may require a Special Park Use Permit. This includes events such as festivals, concerts, charity walks, road races, tournaments, large community gatherings, and other organized activities that may impact park operations or require coordination with Town departments.
