		<title>Rx/OTC Drug Abuse Awareness Week</title>
		<description>The Garner Police Department and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) have partnered with DARE America and Safe Kids Wake County to promote Rx/OTC Drug Abuse Awareness Week from February 22 – 28, 2010 and Poison Prevention Week from March 14 -20, 2010.  This effort is to educate parents and youth of the dangers of abusing Rx/OTC drugs and of the fatal and nonfatal poisonings common in children under the age of five.

		<title>Garner Police Seek Hit and Run Driver</title>
		<description>The Garner Police are seeking a blue four door Honda with tinted windows involved in a felonious hit and run Sunday night, February 21, 2010.  This vehicle, operated by a Hispanic male, collided with a pedestrian in the 400 block of E. Main St. at approximately 9:15 p.m.  The pedestrian, Dominique Ferrell, age 16 of Raleigh, was injured and required transport to the hospital where she was treated and released.
