Q1.  How do I purchase tickets for the GPAC ticketed shows?

Answer:
Tickets can be purchased in the Box Office by calling 919.661.4602 Mon. - Fri. 1:30-5pm or by visiting GarnerPerformingArtsCenter.com

Q2.  Are parents required to stay at a preschool program?
 
Answer:
Yes, parents are required to stay on site at all preschool programs, unless otherwise noted.
 
Q3.  How do I cancel out of a program?
 
Answer:
Refunds of fees paid for most activities will be made under certain conditions. For allowed refunds you may be charged a refund fee of up to $5. Refunds are not available after the activity registration deadline except for substantial hardships.
 
Q4.  How do I reserve a picnic shelter reservation?
 
Answer:
The Town has 12 shelters available for rental. You can reserve in person or online.

In Person at the Garner Senior Center (M-Th 8am-8pm & Fri 8am-5pm) or the White Deer Park Nature Center (Tue-Sat 10am-7pm Apr-Sep / Tue-Sat 12-5pm Oct-Mar)

Q5.  How do you determine Residency vs. Non-Residency? 

Answer:
You must live inside the corporate limits of Garner at the time of your registration in order to be charged the Town of Garner Resident rate. All others will be charged the Non-Resident rate.

Q6.  How do I find out if a program is cancelled due to Inclement Weather?

Answer:
During inclement weather that creates dangerous or hazardous conditions, the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department will post program and park updates on the website, social media sites and the program activity hotline at 919.662.5043.

Q7.  How do I reserve a facility?

Answer:
There are several facilities available for reservations, including the Senior Center, White Deer Park's Nature Center and the Garner Performing Arts Center. For more information, contact the facility directly as prices and availability vary.

 

Q8.  Does the Town offer scholarships or financial assistance programs? If so, how do I qualify?
Answer:

Yes. The Town offers a Financial Assistance Program to Residents who qualify. Financial Assistance is available on youth programs with a registration fee of $20 or greater.  Individuals who qualify will receive a 50% fee reduction.

Q9.  What age do you have to be to become a member of the Garner Senior Center? Is there a membership fee?
Answer: 55 years of age, though after 4pm there are programs offered for ages 16+. There is no membership fee to join the Garner Senior Center, though some programs have fees associated.
