Home to a rotating display of local artistry, the art gallery is located in the main lobby of the Garner Performing Arts Center. The gallery is free and open to the public Monday thru Friday 1:30pm-5:00pm and during events.

About the ArtistNellie Kelly Macon, 97, is a life-long resident of Garner. She was the youngest of eleven children born to Henry and Ella Smith Kelly, whose families resided in Garner for generations. She was a graduate of Garner High School, Class of 1938. She was married to the late Clyde R. Macon and is the mother of seven children. Mrs. Macon worked at Siddell's Studio as a professional photographic retoucher and she did not begin painting until after her retirement. Most of her paintings have been given to her children, grandchildren or nieces as she paints as an expression of her creativity and she loves the pleasure it brings to others.
