The parking lot between the police station and library off of 7th Avenue will be closed for a few days starting Monday to allow for repaving work. The library book drop will be unavailable during that time. Access to police station and library parking will be through the Town Hall lot entrances on 7th Avenue (look for the Town Hall monument sign) and on Aversboro Road.

Grab a front-row seat and join the Garner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department as marching bands, floats, classic cars, Santa Claus and many other entries make their way through Downtown Garner in the annual Garner Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m.

Each year this event brings together thousands of Garner citizens, businesses and entertainers for a true show of community Christmas spirit. Come cheer on your neighbors and friends as they make their way down Main Street and kick off your holidays here in

For the purpose of public safety, the Town of Garner asks that the public not walk or play along the railroad tracks. Barriers will be placed alongside the tracks for safety.

** Pets and drones are not permitted at any Town-sponsored events.
Exceptions apply for trained service animals.
