Town Hall and Police Station
Voters authorized the Town to issue Public Safety and Services Facilities Bonds totaling up to $12 million. The bonds are to be used for acquiring, constructing, expanding and renovating facilities to be used by the Town for municipal services and for acquisition of related land, rights of way and equipment.
So far, these bonds have funded the new police headquarters at 912 7th Ave., which opened in December 2015. They are also funding the construction of a new, 26,000-square-foot Town Hall at 900 7th Ave. That project is slated for completion in the summer of 2017. The topping out for the new Town Hall occurred in early November 2016.

NOTE: Due to the construction of the new Town Hall, a number of department offices have moved.
The following departments are temporarily at 914 7th Ave.: Administration, Economic Development, Finance (including bill payments), Human Resources and Engineering
And these departments are temporarily at 400 Aversboro Road: Planning and Inspections
Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources administrative staff are temporarily at the Garner Senior Center annex at 205 E. Garner Road. They will move into the new Garner Recreation Center at the corner of Main and Montague streets once that facility is completed in 2018.
