Country Artist Gene Watson Coming to GPAC on Oct. 5

Gene Watson and the Farewell Party Band come to Garner Performing Arts Center (742 W. Garner Road) on Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

Watson has scored over 72 charted songs, including 23 Top Tens and six No. 1 hits over his 40-year career. Knowledgeable country music fans point to Watson as one of the genre’s best ballad singers, in the same league as icons George Jones, Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin and others who are the standard bearers for honest, traditional country music.
