GPD Swears in Two New Officers

 The Garner Police Department on Nov. 22 swore in two new officers, Anthony Bria and Chad Gorman.

Bria is a Connecticut native and attended Southern Connecticut State University. He attended the Raleigh Police Academy, graduating in March 2016. He joins GPD after serving in Raleigh PD for a year and two months.

Gorman is from Annapolis, Md. He received an associate’s degree from Cape Fear Community College. Gorman previously served in the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office for five years where he gained experience as a detention officer, school resource officer, patrol deputy and corporal on patrol. He attended basic law enforcement training at Coastal Plains Law Enforcement Training Center and graduated in December 2012.
