Trick-or-Treat the Trails Just Around the Corner
Looking for a fun and safe place for the family to trick-or-treat this Halloween? Come to White Deer Park (2400 Aversboro Road) for Garner’s award-winning special event, Trick-or-Treat the Trails. The Oct. 31 festivities begin at 3 p.m. and last until 6 p.m.
Trick-or-treat your way around the park and collect treats from community organizations and local businesses. This annual event is free and draws thousands of participants each year.
An adult must accompany children at all times; pets are not permitted.
Parking is available across the street at Lake Benson Park (921 Buffaloe Road), and handicap parking is located at White Deer Park (2400 Aversboro Road).
Trick-or-Treat the Trails was the 2013 recipient of the Innovative Program Award from the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association (NCRPA) and received the Rising Star Award from the N.C. Association of Festivals and Events in 2013.
