Strategic Behavioral Health Expanding Garner Facility
Strategic Behavioral Health, a leader in inpatient psychiatric treatment for children and adolescents, is expanding in Garner. The $2.2 million addition, expected to be completed by this December, will result in 24 new beds and will allow the facility to expand its services to geriatric patients.
The additional investment will create 20 to 30 new full- and part-time jobs. There are currently 250 full- and part-time employees at the Garner center.
The company’s Garner facility opened in the fall of 2012. Investment in the center to date is over $6.4 million, according to tax records.
“Since 2012, Strategic Behavioral Health has been a part of the Garner business community,” Garner Economic Development Director Joe Stallings said. “In just four short years, the company is expanding here. We are fortunate to have not only a thriving business in our town but one that offers a much-needed service to so many children—and soon to older patients—in our area.”
“Strategic Behavioral Health is proud to be a part of the Garner community, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to expand our service line to include the geriatric population,” Strategic Behavioral Health CEO Matt Doyle said. “The addition of 24 beds will allow us to meet the needs of a growing segment of our population. The expansion increases our bed capacity from 92 to 116.”
