Message from the Mayor

Thank you for visiting the Town of Garner’s Website. Here you will find information on the Town of Garner as a service agency and on the Town as a community and place to live. I take great pride in serving the Town as Mayor. Garner is the Town I grew up in, and that alone is very humbling. I remember when our population was only a few thousand. Today we are a growing Town of over 26,000 people. Our strength is in our citizens who are active in our many churches, civic clubs and fraternal organizations. Together we are always working to make our Town better. The challenge is to manage and embrace our growth while preserving our small town atmosphere. As we grow, we will continue to promote our annual traditions such as Firemen’s Day, our Independence Day celebration, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Downtown Concert Series, and Christmas Parade. These events bring people together and when people come together for these events, they socialize, reflect on traditions and realize the importance of preserving our heritage. Our many fine civic clubs contribute by bringing people together for barbecues and fund raisers. The Garner Chamber of Commerce continues to be a partner in all our efforts and we thank them for their support. You may visit their web site at Please visit the Town’s web site again and look for continuous updates and information about what is happening in your community.
