The Town of Garner has four Boards, Commissions and Committees. Each is unique in its size, meeting schedule, and specific function; however, the overall mission is the same. Come be a part of the movement!
Find your place to serve and share your ideas, skills and concerns on topics from community appearance to land use initiatives. Your ideas and opinions are important and your willingness to serve on a Town Board/Commission/Committee may be the avenue where you feel led to volunteer, so together, we can continue to work to make “Garner . . . A Great Place to Be!”
There is currently 1 vacancy on the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee. Position requires members to be eligible to participate in senior activities by being 55 years of age or older. The committee meets bi-monthly every third Friday at 9:00 am at the Garner Senior Center. This appointment would fill a position with an unexpired term of June 30, 2012.
