About GEF The Garner Educational Foundation (GEF) is a community-based, non-profit organization whose goal is to engage in activities that will improve educational standards through the promotion of quality education in Garner area schools. Begun by the Garner Chamber of Commerce in 1990, GEF seeks to enhance communication and involvement among students, parents, school staff, business leaders and community citizens in order to accomplish a higher standard of living for the Garner area.
