STARS on Stage
(Students and Teachers Achieving Recognition and Success)

During the 2004-05 school year, GEF introduced to the Garner-area schools the idea of a celebration of the achievements of and recognitions received by the students and teachers.  This celebration, STARS on Stage (Students and Teachers Achieving Recognition and Success), has been held each year since, receiving high acclaim and praise.  Sponsors have included the Town of Garner, Wake County, and many community businesses and individuals.

Representatives of each of the eleven local schools, with organization by GMHS and financial support from GEF, hosted the 2010 production of music, art, and drama presentations by over 300 area students.  The 2011 STARS on Stage was held May 5 at Garner Magnet High School with 375 students participating.

Details for the 2012 STARS on Stage will be posted after January 2012.
