STARS on Stage
(Students and Teachers Achieving Recognition and Success)

During the 2004-05 school year, GEF introduced to the Garner-area schools the idea of a celebration of the achievements of and recognitions received by the students and teachers.  This celebration, STARS on Stage (Students and Teachers Achieving Recognition and Success), has been held each year since, receiving high acclaim and praise.

In collaboration with the GEF schools, representatives of each of the eleven local schools supported by GEF and the GEF Board Members have hosted this production of music, art, and drama presentations by over 300 area students.  Sponsors have included the Town of Garner, Wake County, and many community businesses and individuals.

Almost 400 students performed or shared digital artwork at the 2009 STARS on Stage April 2, 2009, at Aversboro Elementary School.  The students represented all eleven Garner-area schools.  Plans for the 2010 STARS on Stage are in progress.  Check back for further information.
