Join the Garner Educational Foundation in celebrating the skills and achievements of the students and staff in the eleven Garner-area public schools by attending or supporting:

Fall 2008: 
--SCOR volunteer training.  Date and location to be determined.

Spring 2009:
--March 7:  The sixth annual Garner Targets the Arts--Storytelling and Workshop will be Saturday, March 7th, at North Garner Middle School (720 Powell Drive).  The educator workshop in the morning (8:30am) and the storytelling festival (1pm) in the afternoon for the entire family are being presented by the eleven local public schools in collaboration with the Garner Educational Foundation and the Wake County Public Library-SE Regional Library.  Major sponsor is Target Stores and supporting sponsors are the Wake County Schools, McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, the Town of Garner, and Wake County.   Details will be available
after January 1, 2009, at each school and at the SE Regional Library in Garner.
--The fourth annual STARS on Stage celebrating the accomplishments of the students in the Garner area. Date and location to be determined.
--Annual Baccalaureate Service for graduating GMHS seniors.  Date and location to be determined.
--Recognition events:  reception for award-winning educators, luncheon for SCOR volunteers, and retirement dinner for 2009 school retirees.  Dates and locations to be determined.

Summer 2009:
--Fourth annual Camp Invention at East Garner Magnet Middle School for rising first through sixth graders.  Date and location to be determined.
