Message from the Chief

Hello and welcome to the Garner Police Department's website. I am proud to serve as the Chief of Police and consider it a privilege to work with the dedicated men and women who "protect and serve" here. The Garner Police Department is committed to utilizing "community policing" as our organizational philosophy. This philosophy is embodied in partnerships, prevention and problem solving in the day-to-day activities of our officers.

Our goal with our website is three-fold: first, we hope to provide the citizens of Garner, visitors to Garner and others interested in Garner and our Police Department information to better understand what we do, how we do it and, most importantly, why we do what we do in Garner. Second, we want to provide an additional means of communication for those in the community who wish to reach us. Third, we intend to use the website as a tool that will allow citizens to obtain basic crime information for incidents they may be involved with or have an interest in.
