Leaders may also assist with preschool (ages 2-5) and other youth athletic and arts programs. High school diploma or equivalent and prior experience working with children desired. Help adults and senior citizens in your community achieve a healthier lifestyle. The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is seeking Group Fitness Instructors for a variety of specialty classes including Tai Chi, Belly Dancing, and Nia beginning in Fall 2012. We’re also looking for enthusiastic individuals with flexible schedules to be substitute instructors now and fill in as needed. To ensure the best possible experience for our patrons, instructors must be certified by a nationally recognized association, be able to teach participants at all fitness and skill levels, and make everyone in class leave feeling successful. Instructors are expected to be patient, safety-conscious, professional, reliable, and friendly. Proof of current CPR certification is required. Class schedule is negotiable. Positions open until filled.
